About Elite Chess

Bullet, Blitz and Classic are the three kinds of timed chess in Elite Chess, and each keeps its own clock and its own ranking. The menu is laid out on a polished wooden table, where a carved bishop stands on the corner of a light board beneath your rank, which starts at Rookie.

Your rating begins at 400 Elo, with a bar filling toward 500 and the next rank, and a note on screen explains that winning games earns Elo and that each mode is ranked separately. Arrows switch between the mode cards: one gives each player 3 minutes with nothing added per move, the next 5 minutes with 1 second added. The climb leads all the way up to Diamond.

Pick a mode, press Play and make your moves on the board. The name at the top, Player 001, can be changed with the pencil icon next to it.
